margarita recipe

As summer kicks into full gear here, there’s nothing I love more than a cold, refreshing margarita. And no matter where you go, there are always different and unique options.

However, my favorite margarita is the one I make at home. Between the salty rim and the lime and citrus, I love building one ( or maybe a pitcher, lol ) and enjoying it sitting outside on my patio.

The recipe is very simple and takes less than five minutes to make.

You’ll need:

  • 2 oz. 1800 Repasado Tequila
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 1/4 oz. Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • kosher salt
  • lime wedge

Start by running a lime wedge around the edge of your margarita glass and then dip the edges in the kosher salt.

Next, put the tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and citrus liqueur in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until outside of shaker is frosted over. Strain liquid into rimmed glass filled with ice and garnish with the lime wedge.

Now take your drink outside and enjoy responsibly!
