Hello Lovelies!

Wow, is January moving along quickly or what? I feel like we were just ringing in the the new year.

With new years, comes new resolutions and new looks. One of my favorite looks that I’m always trying to improve is contouring. Contouring can do so many things. It can define or soften, accentuate or diminish.

Today, I’m showing how I like to contour with Maybelline’s Master Contour Palette. I’m also showing off their Dream Velvet foundation, applied with the Dream Blender. You can purchase these at your local Walmart.

STEP 1. Start with the Dream Velvet foundation and apply liberally with Dream Blender. To make the application smoother and for a more natural look, soak blender under sink and then towel dry. *NOTE – The foundation color I chose is a shade too light for my skin. The pigmentation is very accurate, so be sure to choose the closest shade to your skin as possible.

STEP 2. Take your contouring palette and apply blush first.

STEP 3. Apply highlighter to tops of cheeks. Think of it as a reflector for your face. The light hitting your face will only bounce off the parts closest to it, so only highlight those.

STEP 4. Lastly, apply bronzer below the blush, under the cheek bone. I like to pucker up, like I’m going to kiss someone, to see where to apply the bronzer.

Finish off with some mascara and lipstick and you have the perfect softly contoured look. And, it’s super quick too!

So, what is your favorite way to contour? Tell me in the comments! Also, be sure to check out Maybelline’s page for helpful tips on beauty shopping.
