For many years growing up, I would repeat the same mistake, I guess thinking it would change over time. I would take my pasty white skin out into the sun and after about two or three hours of being out in the sun, I would promptly burn. Honestly, I just hated the sunscreen that I was forced to wear and I wanted to look tan!
Well, fast forward to the present and let’s just say that I am still learning my lesson, although this summer I can happily say that I have only gotten slightly pink due to not paying attention to the amount of time between sunscreen applications. Why this transformation? I finally found SunBum, a sunscreen company that makes a product that I can get behind. The sunscreen dries in quickly, isn’t gumpy, smells divine, and really works. And, aside from all of that, it’s awesome for the environment. I had no idea how harsh the chemicals in sunscreen could be for the ocean.
I literally don’t use any other brand than SunBum. Every product in the above picture does exactly what it says it will. And I never have any irritation or break outs from the sunscreen on my face or body. One of my favorite things about the it is the scent. It smells like summer ( or what summer would smell like if it had a smell ). It’s divine!
My typical application is sunscreen then tanning lotion, but recently I bought their tanning oil, which has 15 SPF in it and it works like a charm! No sunburn and a lovely golden brown after a day in the sun. Just remember to reapply after swimming or toweling off and you’re good to go. SunBum has other products too for hair, face, and your closet. I’m really looking forward to trying out their tinted lip balms and shampoo and condition.
If you’ve ever tried SunBum, leave me a comment and tell which product is your favorite!
