Hello Lovelies!

So, I finally came out of hibernation and am posting a blog post! What???!!!! I know, I am woefully behind in sharing, but I have just been hitting a creativity block recently. However, there was a piece of advice I heard not that long ago that really resonated with me and I’m going to try and remember it when I start hitting a creative wall:

‘Stop being afraid to write the article because you think it will be bad or not have substance; write the article anyway and then tweak it. The only way for you to get the writing done is to start.’

In other words, stop letting failure to deliver a good post hold me back from writing it; go ahead and write the worst post I can think of and then go back and fix it. It won’t ever be written unless I start typing.

So, all of that to say, here is a not super spectacular but completed post on styling a neutral dress for Mother’s Day brunch. As you guys know, I’m not a huge fan of neutrals, but for this particular holiday, I wanted to style something a little bit lighter and elegant.

There’s something so perfect about a little white, lace dress and even though this dress is old ( I bought it on consignment ), you can’t wrong with this style. Grab a pair of your favorite neutral pumps or be daring a wear a brightly colored pair of shoes.

To leave on a note of encouragement; no, I really didn’t plan this post out or really have much content to fill it with, but I wrote it and didn’t shrink from it. Never shy away from something because you think you won’t be good enough. Go for the challenge and you’ll probably surprise yourself.

What will you be wearing for Mother’s Day brunch?
