In case you were wondering…

I use a Nikon D7000. It’s literally the best camera I have ever owned.

I started out using a Nikon 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom ( the standard lens for a Nikon camera ) but recently ungraded to a 50mm f/1.4G AF-S ( portrait lens ) and I absolutely love it!

I take them myself with a tripod and remote. It takes a little longer this way, but I usually have a certain way I want the picture to look in my mind, so I like to take them myself.

Mostly other bloggers and Pinterest. It’s such an addicting site.

Honestly, I really don’t like to photoshop. It takes a lot of time. I do, however, like to design my photos with a caption of the post title. I use the website Canva for this. It’s free and has so many awesome fonts to work with! 😀

I’m 5’6″ and I wear a x-size small usually.

I use an Ultra Chi Orbit with a 1″ barrel; however, recently I was sent a Kiss Instawave and I love it! See review and tutorial here.

No, it’s not. I’m not very adventurous with my hair. I really like the color it is now. It’s changed a lot over the years, going from being very dark brown to almost a chestnut/auburn brown. I also don’t like to cut it. I’ve had so many bad, short hair cuts in my life that I just like to play it safe and keep it long.

Yay! I always get excited when someone tells me they’re starting a blog. Don’t stress about it. Blogging can be fun or it can be torture. Pick a topic you love and stick with it. Your love for whatever your are writing about will shine through in your posts. Also, don’t worry that you blog doesn’t look like everyone else’s. Building up a blog takes time. Just enjoy what you are writing and let the design come together over time.

One of my blog friends who runs her own studio designed my blog! You can find her over at
