I’m sure most of you have noticed by now that I typically change up my makeup between seasons. Reason for this is, once summer hits, wearing bold colors is just a little too extreme. I like to switch out my liquid for tinted moisturizer, lipstick for gloss, and dark eye shadow for more of a neutral base.
Basically for me, I only need a few items in my makeup bag for spring and I’m a happy camper. And I thought I’d share them with you today.
1 | Tinted Moisturizer – This is an absolute must for me. After the cold winter months, my skin could rival Casper. Anything with a hint of color is just what I need to give myself life and not have to contour like crazy. This one by Jergens is awesome. It’s oil free, dries quickly, and doesn’t leave behind streaks or weird discolorations. Best of all, it gradually builds color on the face, so you’re not pale one day and dark the next.
2 | Neutral Eye Shadow – Your eyes have been hooded long enough. It’s time to slap some soft color on there and let the light in. Metaphorically. But seriously, neutral eye shadow is perfect for spring. And right now, matte shades are in, so you don’t have to worry about looking like you’re wearing sparkly face paint.
3 | Soft Lipstick – I know I mentioned gloss above, but a nice soft shade of lipstick works well too. Think pinks or even nudes. Go bold and wear an all-nude face. If you want to try soenthing even cooler, take some of your lipstick and mix it with a clear gloss or balm. This way, you just have a hint of color, but your haven’t forfeited wearing it all together.
So, if you like what you see, then check out MAKE beauty. They made the lipstick and eye shadow I’m wearing. I can definitely say the eye shadow is long lasting and the lipstick is super smooth and moisturizing to put on. Best of all their products are hypoallergenic and are not tested on animals.
